PEF methodology takes 16 different impacting factors into account

Because environmental impact is not only about CO2 emissions and climate changes which represent generally only 1/3 of the global product impact.  It is also about water use, toxicity and pollution.

Because the PEF is based on a multicriteria approach but delivers a unique score.  Hence the PEF methodology allows easy comparison between products and simplifies the communication

It is easy to highly the most impacting factors and to dive further in those criteria to take action for improvement.

It is based on a robust and scientific approach

It is the only methodology recognized by the EU
